Robert Spencer's career in the trade began in 2001, first as an apprentice electrician and then across public sector, contracting and self-employed roles — working on domestic, commercial, industrial and agricultural installations along the way. That grounding gives him a practical, no-nonsense approach to electrical work, general building and everything in between.

  1. 2001 – 2004 · Apprenticeship

    Chris Tivey Electrical Services

    Started out on work experience before beginning a modern apprenticeship on block and day release, covering domestic, commercial, industrial and agricultural installations. Completed his wiring regulations qualification in 2004. In his final year he was contracted to work on Derby City Council buildings, schools and homes.

    First and second fix electrical work on classroom pods, portacabins and link packs, including on-site installation and live testing.

Both. Robert takes on domestic and commercial work directly for homeowners and businesses, and is also available on a self-employed, subcontract basis for main contractors, similar to previous work with PDS Derbyshire Ltd.

Do you offer both electrical and labouring services?

Yes. Robert trained and worked as an electrician after his apprenticeship and has since built up general labouring experience, so he can help with electrical installation and repair work as well as general site labouring and multi-trade support.

Yes.
