Robert Spencer's career in the trade began in 2001, first as an apprentice electrician and then across public sector, contracting and self-employed roles — working on domestic, commercial, industrial and agricultural installations along the way. That grounding gives him a practical, no-nonsense approach to electrical work, general building and everything in between.

Are you qualified and insured?
Yes. Robert holds his 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification, an up-to-date CSCS card, recent Health & Safety training, and public liability insurance for both electrical and labouring work.
Do you work directly for homeowners, or only through companies?
Both. Robert takes on domestic and commercial work directly for homeowners and businesses, and is also available on a self-employed, subcontract basis for main contractors, similar to previous work with PDS Derbyshire Ltd.
Do you offer both electrical and labouring services?
Yes. Robert trained and worked as an electrician after his apprenticeship and has since built up general labouring experience, so he can help with electrical installation and repair work as well as general site labouring and multi-trade support.
Do you handle work other than electrics, such as building, carpentry or roofing?
Yes. Alongside electrical installation and maintenance, Robert offers general building works, carpentry & joinery, roofing repairs, property maintenance, refurbishments and renovations, networking and data cabling, external works & groundworks, asbestos removal and disposal, and general labouring, across both commercial and domestic projects.
